Transfer Domain From One Registrar to Another

To transfer your domain name to another registrant, you can initiate a change of registrant by contacting your current registrar. Your registrar will then ask for your confirmation via a secure mechanism (which typically will take the form of an email to the registered name holder).

There are a number of steps you will need to take with your current registrar in order to complete your transfer. With your current registrar, you will need to:

• Unlock your domain
• Disable privacy settings
• Update your contact information so New Registrar can send confirmation emails
• Obtain your transfer authorization code
• Make sure your domain has been registered for at least 60 days, or opt-out (more on that later)
